OMA GRO
Facility Replacement
The Oma-Gro Facility is a City of Omaha facility at the Papio River Waste Water Treatment Plant in the City of Bellevue. The facility takes in yard waste collected in the City of Omaha to be composted for resale. The summer of 2017, the facility was completely destroyed by a Tornado. Mark VII Enterprises provided a rapid response design build option for the facility, coordinating with the City of Omaha, City of Bellevue, State of NE and Insurance company at all stages. Thru the design process, the facility capacity and efficiency were increased, additional employee areas were created and the facility became more energy efficient. Total downtime for the facility was limited to one collection season. The structure is a pre-engineered metal building designed to be more resilient for future weather events.
